Focus Financial Partners Momentum Wins Place on Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies
– 80% Growth over Three Years Puts Focus on the List for the Sixth Time –
New York, NY – August 28, 2017 – Focus Financial Partners (‘Focus’), a leading partnership of independent, fiduciary wealth management and financial services firms, today announced it has been named for an extraordinary sixth time as one of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies, according to Inc. magazine’s Inc. 5000 list, which ranks companies by the percentage of revenue growth over a three-year period. This places Focus among just 19 financial services firms in the 2017 ranking to have received such multiple designations.
This accolade is one of many recognitions and milestones Focus has achieved in 2017. In April, Focus announced that it had received a significant investment from private equity firms Stone Point Capital and KKR, valuing the firm at $2 billion. In July, Focus closed the largest deal in its history with SCS Financial, an independent RIA based in Boston and New York with $17 billion in AUM. As of August 2017, Focus has over $700 million in annual run rate revenue and counts 50 firms among its global partnership.
“This year has been a milestone year for the entire Focus partnership as we continue to grow the number of elite advisory firms that have joined Focus,” said Founder and CEO of Focus, Rudy Adolf. “Focus was founded on an entrepreneurial business model, with the objective of empowering all the entrepreneurs in our partnership to unlock their full potential. We are delighted to be recognized by Inc. once again, which not only validates our mission, but also illustrates the tremendous demand for independent, fiduciary financial advice.”

The Inc. 500|5000 Methodology
The 2017 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2013 to 2016. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2013. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2016. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2013 is $100,000; the minimum for 2016 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.’s September issue. They represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000, which can be found at http://www.inc.com/inc5000.
